I’ve used Outlook for a long time, altho’ I don’t consider myself a power user. I picked this up to see what I was missing and did not find much I didn’t already know. A couple of things that looked useful didn’t seem to show up in the same way on my screen. Don’t know if the version has changed or the fact that I mainly use Web Outlook these days is the problem.
This would be a good reference for the new user, unless the problems I encountered showed up.
Rating: 3 / 5
As usual the Dummie’s books make learning easy and fun. This book tells you everything you need to know in an simple to follow format and covers all the important information. Outlook 2007 for Dummies is the one and only book you need to get the most out of your MS Outlook.
Rating: 5 / 5
This book is pretty easy to understand and is a painless and fun way to learn about outlook. There is great deal of information. Definitely recommended for anyone using outlook for the first time as I was, or someone using for a while who may want extra tips.
There are a few places where the book is not accurate or I could not do what it said. I think it includes some tips for Business Contact Manager but unfortunately doesn’t mention that the feature is only available in Business Contact Manager. Therefore, you may find yourself a drop frustrated when you can’t do what it says,if you do not have this add on program. But, those instances are not too common and overall the book is well worth the money it and has helped me work much faster in Outlook.
